The Tree of Life (West)

Exhibited in Origins – Landscapes of Queenstown by Mandy Hunniford as part of the The Unconformity Festival, Queenstown in 2021.

The Tree of Life (West) is portrayed by the branches of a green tree that twist and wind through seasons, history and time. As a symbol of growth, prosperity and belonging, The Tree of Life (West) is set in the beautiful, lush and wet landscape of the western wilds of Tasmania.

About The Tree of Life Collection:

For centuries the concept of the tree of life has been used in science, religion, philosophy and mythology and alludes to the interconnection of all life on our planet. Our bodies, minds and the world around us are all intrinsically linked. The arterial trees of the brain and the branching pattern of arteries that flow around our bodies is our internal topography and is depicted in the winding branches in The Tree Of Life artwork.
