About the artwork:

The Tree of Life (Native Flora/West)

As a symbol of growth and the passing of time, this tree of life reflects the landscape of the rugged West Coast: beautiful and lush but cold and very wet. Ancient native flora such as the deciduous beech, scoparia and the scleranthus are represented in the layers of the remarkable West Coast landscape.

About The Tree of Life Collection:

For centuries the concept of the tree of life has been used in science, religion, philosophy and mythology and alludes to the interconnection of all life on our planet. Our bodies, minds and the world around us are all intrinsically linked. The arterial trees of the brain and the branching pattern of arteries that flow around our bodies is our internal topography and is depicted in the winding branches in The Tree Of Life artwork.
